My endeavor to suck less
I thought my first blog entry was funny, in a self-deprecating way, when I wrote it. I don't think I pulled it off. The real reason for this blog is to help me organize my thoughts, become a better writer and just be more methodical and rigorous in my approach to work.
Politics is a big interest for me right now so I'm sure I'll write about that. I'm also struggling to provide my family a good life, lose weight, spend more time outdoors and take the next step in my career. I'd like to talk about everything...we'll see if I have the guts.
On a lighter note, I might throw in some rants and general observations.
Am I joking when I say I'm lazy, fat and I suck at everything. Yes and no. I do love outdoor recreational sports but I'm not big on routines, cleaning or repetitive activities. So when it comes to daily chores I am about as lazy as it gets and still be functional. I am 5' 10'' and 320 pounds so that definitely is fat. And although I am moderately or adequately good at a lot of things, I haven't pushed to excel at anything so, nobody would say I sucked in my early 20s, but now? I suck.
I'm want to change those negative aspects without losing the independent thinking I love to do. Good luck to me!
Here's my progress so far:
1) Lazy: I'm finally doing this blog aren't I?
2) Fat: I'm on the Keto diet (Joe Rogan's podcast to thank) - lost 23 pounds in 23 days so far (319 today, 342 at start)
3) Sucking: No progress yet, still sucking hard
